DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival to Cusco

Arrive at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) by midday or earlier. Brief orientation walk helps you get familiar with Cusco. Afterward, rest and acclimate to the altitude.

Day 2: Cusco City Tour

Start your day in Cusco, discovering Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and more! Later, soak up Cusco’s vibrant culture at “Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo.”

Day 3: The scavenger hunt

Embark on a cultural treasure hunt, exploring the city and testing your courage, skill, and cultural knowledge. The winning team receives a rewarding prize! Afterward, we will head to Cusco’s Planetarium for an enchanting evening.

Day 4: Andean Barroc and Secsencalla

Visit Secsencalla community, a rural community we’ve worked closely with for years, for an Engaged Education Roundtable on safe housing. Afterward, join the locals for a spirited game of soccer! Explore Andes colonization at Andahuaylillas church in the afternoon for insights into rich history. 

Day 5: Healthy Homes Development Project

Join MEDLIFE‘s impactful Healthy Homes initiative in the Sacred Valley. Tasks include building greenhouses, efficient fuel stoves, renovating homes, and more. Roll up your sleeves and make an impact!

Day 6: Rainbow Mountain

Embark on an awe-inspiring adventure to Rainbow Mountain. Hike through charming communities, encounter grazing alpacas and llamas, and enjoy breathtaking views of Ausangate Mountain.

Day 7: The Sacred Valley!

Discover the Sacred Valley, only 45 minutes from Cusco. Visit the captivating Sounds of the Andes Interpretation Center in Cuyo Chico. Experience the ancient art of crafting clay instruments and immerse yourself in the Inca heritage. Engage in a hands-on ceramic workshop. Later, explore the remarkable Pisac Archaeological Site for more adventure.

Day 8: Explore Machu Picchu

Catch the early train to Aguas Calientes for a mesmerizing visit to Machu Picchu. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site with an expert guide, unraveling its ancient secrets and capturing stunning photos.

Day 9: Departure

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before heading to the airport for your onward travel or return flight home. We extend our warm wishes for safe and joyous travels ahead!
