Day 1: Arrival in Cusco
Greetings and welcome to Cusco! You will meet your amazing Group Leader at the airport who will then accompany you to your accommodations to settle in.
Day 2: Exploring Cusco
Start your day with a group meeting for orientation and safety, followed by a fun walk to explore Cusco. End the day with a delightful cooking class where you can prepare traditional Peruvian dishes and enjoy a communal and festive atmosphere.
Day 3: Cusco Historical & Archaeological Tour
Today, we have a full day of exciting activities planned in Cusco. In the morning, we will have an interactive Spanish lesson and explore Cusco’s historical center. After lunch, we will visit Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and more! In the evening, we will experience Cusco’s vibrant culture at “Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo.”
Day 3: Cusco Reality Tour
Today’s morning will be dedicated to practicing conversational skills in a language lesson that revolves around daily life. Following that, we will embark on an exciting adventure to visit some of MEDLIFE’s partner communities. This will be a unique opportunity to learn about poverty and global health while having fun practicing Spanish with community members.
Day 5: The Sacred Valley!
Get ready for an action-packed day in the Sacred Valley! In the morning, we’ll start with an interactive Spanish lesson where you’ll learn art-related terms. After that, we will visit the captivating Sounds of the Andes Interpretation Center in Cuyo Chico. Experience the ancient art of crafting clay instruments and immerse yourself in the Inca heritage. Engage in a hands-on ceramic workshop.
After lunch, explore the remarkable Pisac Archaeological Site for more adventure. Get ready for an unforgettable day!
Day 6: Machu Picchu
In the morning, embark on a train journey to Aguas Calientes, setting the stage for an unforgettable visit to Machu Picchu, the legendary “Lost City of the Inca” and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After exploring this ancient marvel, board your evening train to Ollantaytambo, followed by a transfer to the Sacred Valley.
Day 7: Day at leisure
Discover the vibrant city of Cusco at your own pace or choose from our array of exciting add-ons and optional activities.
Day 8: Departure
Enjoy some final free time to explore or relax. Conclude your adventure with a reflection session, gathering insights and memories, before transferring to the airport for your return flight home.
